Pitt-Bradford Baseball Returns Home For Saturday Doubleheader Against D'Youville

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford baseball team will return home Saturday to host D'Youville for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference doubleheader.

The Panthers (9-9, 2-4 AMCC) are coming off a doubleheader split at Penn State-Altoona Tuesday -- their first AMCC road contests of the season.

Andrew Bacha tossed all seven innings on the mound in game one to earn the complete-game victory. The junior scattered four hits and struck out six while surrendering one earned run.

Then in the second game, a two-run homer from Austin Parent highlighted the Panthers' offensive effort. The shot was his third of the year and second in AMCC action, which is tied for the most in the conference.

Kevin Rehak went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored in his first career game as the Panther leadoff hitter in game one. His classmate Jake McNabb added three hits while Matt Hair and Jason Lucarelli knocked in a pair of runs apiece.

Logan Edmonds started on the mound for the Panthers in game two. Edmonds ranks third in the AMCC with 11 strikeouts in two AMCC starts.

Hoops owns the longest hitting streak on the team, landing hits safely in 11-straight games.

Rehak and Hoops now have four multi-hit games each to lead the team.

On the season, D'Youville is 2-13 overall and 2-4 in AMCC action, most recently splitting with Hilbert Thursday.

Dylan Haack leads the team with a .309 batting average. He's also the ace of the pitching staff, leading the team with a 6.27 ERA, two wins and 15 strikeouts.

Saturday's action is set for a 1 p.m. start, with game two coming around 3:30 p.m.
