Women's Tennis Drops Conference Tilt with Pitt-Greensburg

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Women's tennis team kicked off its home slate of games on Friday, losing an AMCC match-up with Pitt-Greensburg 9-0.

In doubles play, the Panthers saw its freshmen at the top pairing put in another strong performance, despite losing the match 3-8. In #3 doubles, Avitamarie Demieri and Lydia Ehrensberger saw a similar outcome, losing the match 3 points to 8.

In singles play, Madilyn Rodger put in the best performance of the day. Although she did not prevail, she was able to win four sets in the #2 position in the first set, before dropping the second 2-6. Fellow freshmen Ehrensberger was able to pick up three points across both sets, while Caroline Hance picked up two in the second set at #4 and Demieri took one in each set at #6.

The Panthers will be right back in action tomorrow, as they are scheduled to take on Mount Aloysius in another AMCC battle. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
