BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis team captured a 6-0 victory over D'Youville in its 2017 regular-season finale on a wet, misty evening on the outdoor courts at the Kessel Athletics Complex Friday evening.

With the win, the Panthers finish 3-5 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action and earn the sixth playoff spot in the 2017 conference championship tournament next weekend.

"Everything was on tonight," Head Coach Susan Schenfield said of her team's performance. "The play at the net particularly was great. I am very pleased with the way we played and am so excited to be heading to the AMCC playoffs."

The Panthers swept doubles action with Alexa Holleran and Ashley Stoltz coming out on top in the No. 1 spot, 8-6.

The No. 2 team of Maya Bingaman and Jessica Jordan won, 8-4, and the No. 3 pair of Rebecca Jordan and Aaliya Smith won convincingly, 8-1.

In singles action, the Panthers beat the rain and locked up the victory with wins in the No. 4 spot from Stoltz, No. 5 from Katelyn Wells and No. 6 from Jessica Jordan.

The No. 1, 2 and 3 singles matches went unfinished due to impending rain.

Senior Alexa Holleran competed in her final home match as a Panther and was honored for her four years as a Pitt-Bradford student-athlete prior to the start of the match.

As the No. 6 seed, the Panthers will take on No. 3 Penn State-Behrend on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Westwood Racquet Club in the first round of the AMCC playoffs.
