Penn State-Altoona Defeats Pitt-Bradford, 6-3

ALTOONA, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis team fell to Penn State-Altoona, 6-3, Saturday afternoon.

"We had a mentally tough and reliable No. 1 doubles team today, as they were about to shut down Altoona in a big match," Head Coach Susan Schenfield said. "Ashley's consistency and competitive drive pulled her through in a tough singles match."

The No. 1 doubles team of Alexa Holleran and Ashley Stoltz came out on top for the Panthers, 7-4.

In singles action, Stoltz defeated her No. 4 opponents, 6-3, 6-4, to remain unbeaten on the season.

Jessica Jordan earned the final victory of the day for the Panthers with an 8-2 No. 6 singles win.

Pitt-Bradford will be in action next on Sunday as they travel to Mount Aloysius.
