Fredonia Beats Pitt-Bradford, 5-0, in Cold Shortened Match

BRADFORD, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis team fell, 5-0, in a match shortened due to bitter cold temperatures at the Kessel Athletic Complex on Friday night.

Emily Fowkes and Alexa Holleran picked up the Panther's lone win, earning an 8-1 victory at first singles.

"Our top doubles duo played effective, high, heavy shots that they used strategically to reset and push their opponents back," said Pitt-Bradford women's tennis coach, Susan Schenfield. "They used a vast variety of shots to pick up the win."

The Panthers close out the 2015 women's tennis season Saturday afternoon against AMCC foe, Franciscan University, at 10 a.m. at the Kessel Athletic Complex.
