Panthers Defeated by Saxons

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's swim team was back in action on Thursday evening, falling to the Alfred Saxons 128-39.

Isabella Cercone had another strong showing for the Panthers, winning both of her individual races. She won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:09.91. She followed that up with an easy win in the 100-yard breaststroke, which she finished with a time of 1:17.06. She also swam the anchor leg in the 200-yard freestyle relay, in which the Panthers took 2nd. She swam her leg in 27.35 seconds, the best leg for the Panthers.

Madison Foote added a pair of 3rd place finishes in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races, while Bailey Fedak took 3rd in the 100-free and 3rd in the 200-yard IM. Adriana Gallas took third in the 50-free and 4th in the 100-free.

The Panthers will be back in action over the weekend, as they will host AMCC foe, Penn State-Behrend. The dual meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 in the Duke Aquatic Center.
