Panther Swimmers Take 3rd in Final Championship Tune-up

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's swimming team finished in third place as it competed in its final regular-season meet at the SUNY Geneseo Invite.

The Panthers totaled 234 points in the meet. The hosts from SUNY Geneseo won the meet with 777 points and Buffalo State too 2nd with 375.

Bailey Fedak had the strongest performance for the Panthers, as she took 6th place in the 50-yard freestyle. She was two seconds behind the winner finishing with a time of 27.35 seconds. She also swam the 100-yard butterfly and swam in both relays.

Adriana Gallas was able to cut 2 seconds off of her 500-yard freestyle time, her best finish of the day. She also swam in the medley relay and the 100-yard breaststroke. 

The Panthers will have two weeks to prepare for the Conference Championship meet. It will be held over three days, beginning February 16th. It will be held at the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, N.Y.
