Panthers Fall to JCC

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's swimming team recorded improved times in their meet with Jamestown Community College but were unable to come away with a victory as they fell 115-43.

Adriana Gallas led the way for the Panthers, as she was able to take second place in 3 different events. She began the day by swimming the second leg in the medley relay. She swam the breaststroke leg in 41.87 second as the Panthers finished just a second behind the winners. She finished the 500-yard freestyle in 7:04.78 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:33.41 to earn second place points in each event. 

Eve Brink had a strong showing in the 100-yard freestyle as she took second by cutting 15 seconds off of her seed time as she posted a time of 1:13.35. Bailey Fedak picked up another 2nd place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. She finished the event in 28.61 seconds, finishing one second behind the winner.

The Panthers have now completed the fall portion of their season. They will have nearly a month off for finals and the holidays before returning to action in the new year. Their next meet will be on Saturday, January 8th, when they travel to Buffalo for a tri-meet with Buffalo State and Wells.
