Panthers Pick Up First Win of Season

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh of Bradford women's swimming team picked up their first win of the season, as they beat Medaille 57-42 in their first home meet of the season.

Adriana Gallas picked up 22 points for the Panthers, winning the 500-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke. She swam the 500 in 7:09.51 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1.33.63, just over one second faster than her opponent. She also took 2nd in the 200-freestyle with a time of 2:33.86.

Bailey Fedak picked up maximum points for the Panthers in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events. She was able to improve her time in both events, finishing the 50 in 28.84 seconds and the 100 in 1:06.36.

Anna Killingbeck was able to repeat her feat from the Panthers opening meet to complete the 200-yard individual medley. She swam the race in 3:16.97.

The Panthers will have a week to prepare for their next meet, when they travel to Alfred University for another dual meet.
