BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's and women's swim teams enter a busy weekend, first competing at Alfred State Friday before hosting a tri-meet with Wells College and Penn State-Behrend Saturday.

Saturday's meet at the Paul C. Duke III Aquatic Center will be the final action hosted by the Panthers of the 2017-18 season.

Prior to the start of Saturday's meet, the Department of Athletics and the Pitt-Bradford swim program will honor senior Corey Koss during his last home meet as a Pitt-Bradford student-athlete.

Last weekend, the Panthers swim teams competed for the first time since the midseason meet at Fredonia from Dec. 1-3.

Ultimately, Buffalo State claimed wins against both teams, earning the men's win 138-117 and the women's win 136-66.

Wells College was set to join the two teams for a tri-meet, however severe weather made their travel to the campus of Pitt-Bradford impossible and will be joining this weekend's meet as a result.

The first victory of the day for Pitt-Bradford came in the men's 1,000-freestyle as Carey Behm timed in at 10:52.23.

Pitt-Bradford later took the top-two spots in the 100-backstroke as Jared Schwab finished at 54.38 for the victory and Corey Koss timed in at 55.68 for second place.

Schwab claimed a win in the 50-freestyle with a time of 22.39 by a nose, just .14 of a second ahead of the second-place finisher.

Broad grabbed her second win of the day in the 100-freestyle with a victorious time of 59.89, the only competitor to finish in under a minute.

Corey Koss earned a win in the 200-backstroke with a winning time of 2:06.10, .30 of a second ahead of the second-place finisher.

The second win of the day for Frederick came in commanding fashion as he timed in at 2:21.72 in the 200-breaststroke, 4.13 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Carey Behm took the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:16.35, the only swimmer to complete the event in under 5:21.

Beyleigh Duda then finished in first place in the 100-butterfly with a time of 1:25.69.

Wright's second win of the day came in the 200-IM with a time of 2:38.45.

The day's events were concluded with the 400-freestyle relay.

The men's team of Benjamin Koss, Carey Behm, Corey Koss and Jared Schwab finished second with a time of 3:19.85.

The women's team of Broad, Danica AndrewsBeyleigh Duda and Wright finished third at 4:34.42.
