FREDONIA, N.Y. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford swim teams wrapped up the second day of the three-day Fredonia Blue Devil Invite Saturday with many more school records and personal bests going down in the process.

"It was another great day for us in the pool," Head Coach Douglas Alban said. "It takes one person to have a fast swim and everyone follows suit. The team has been very tight-knit and supporting each other through every session."  

The Panthers men's team finished the day in fourth place with 288.5 total points with the women's team finished ninth with 73 total points.

Lucas Cerchiaro broke the school record for the 400-IM twice on the day, first besting the previous record of 4:21.11 with a time of 4:17.07 in the morning preliminaries.

It was in the evening's finals events where he really shattered the previous record, finishing second overall with a new record time of 4:15.40. 

Noah Frederick (4:35.06) and Justin Aharrah (5:07.32) swam the 'B' final of the 400-IM, finishing in 10th and 16th place, respectively, to score for the Panthers. 

The men's 100-backstroke event saw its school record go down as well as Jared Schwab timed in at 52.57, narrowly beating the previous record of 52.58. Schwab earned second place in the finals with his record-setting time. 

Corey Koss finished two spots behind Schwab in the event with a time of 54.35. 

In the women's 400-IM, Jillian Wright finished the 'B' final in 12th of 15 swimmers with a time of 5:22.97. 

Devyn Condon later scored for the Panthers in the 100-butterfly with a time of 57.95, good for 14th place as he swam the 'B' final.

Benjamin Koss grabbed a third-place finish for the Panthers in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:44.95. Carey Behm (1:51.60) and Nicholas Boyd (1:52.91) also scored for the Panthers, swimming the 'B' final in the event and finishing 12th and 15th, respectively.

In the relay events, the Pitt-Bradford women's 200-medley relay grabbed 18 points toward the team's total as the team of Kayla Broad, Jillian Wright, Beyleigh Duda and Danica Andrews finished with a time of 2:09.59.

The final school record of the day that went down for the Panthers came in the men's 200-medley relay as the team of Schwab, Frederick, Cerchiaro and Benjamin Koss timed in at 1:37.49 for a second-place finish, besting the previous record of 1:38.26. 

The team of Behm, Aharrah, Condon and Devin Kerr finished the 200-medley relay with a time of 2:15.98 to score for the Panthers.
