Panthers Win 10 Events in Dual with Buffalo State

Buffalo State swept the Pitt-Bradford men's and women's swimming teams Saturday. The Panther men lost 168-122, and the women fell by a score of 134.5-58.5.

On the men's side, the Panthers won a total of six events. Carey Behm took first in the 1,000-yard free, Noah Frederick won the 100-yard breast, Lucas Cerchiaro finished first in the 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard individual medley, and Mitchell Smith was tops in the 200-yard back race.

The 400-yard medley relay team of Corey Koss, Frederick, Cerchiaro and Nicholas Boyd also won in 3:46.19.

Second-place finishes included Zachery France in the 200-yard free, Koss in the 100-yard back, Boyd in the 50-yard free and 100-yard free swims and Behm in the 500-yard free.

In women's results, Elizabeth Prager and Rebecca Avery each captured individual wins. Prager won the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke races, and Avery took first in the 100-yard butterfly

Avery was also second in the 50-yard and 100-yard free races, and Jillian Wright was a runner-up in the 200-yard breast. The women's 400-yard medley and 400-yard free relay teams finished second as well.

Pitt-Bradford will host Alfred next Friday at 5 p.m.
