Pitt-Bradford Finishes Fourth at Panther Relays

The Pitt-Bradford men's and women's swimming teams opened the season Saturday hosting the 11th Panther Relays, and finished fourth with a combined score of 92 points.

Penn State Behrend won the event with 286 total points followed by runner-up Penn State Altoona (116) and third-place finisher Franciscan (108).

On the men's side, the trio of Lucas Cerchiaro, Corey Koss and Nicholas Boyd won the 3x100-yard freestyle relay in 2:48.

The Panthers' 800-yard freestyle relay team of Carey Behm, Devyn Condon, Koss and Mitchell Smith placed second, and Cerchiaro, Noah Frederick and Zachary France were runner-ups in the 3x100-yard individual medley relay.

Boyd, Smith, Behm and France finished second in the 5x100-yard freestyle relay race, and Cerchiaro, Frederick and France finished third in the 3x100-yard breaststroke relay.

On the women's side, the 3x100-yard backstroke relay squad of Jillian Wright, Elizabeth Prager and Jasmine Valentine were fourth.

In mixed results, the quartet of Devin Kerr, Wright, Jarred Shackelford and Valentine finished fourth in the 200-yard medley relay, and the 400-yard medley relay team of Boyd, Condon, Wright and Prager finished third.

Pitt-Bradford will open the dual meet portion of its schedule next week when it travels to Cabrini for a conference matchup.
