Women's Swimming Finishes 9th at Fredonia

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men and women's swim team finished ninth at the Fredonia Invitational this weekend in New York. 

"Everybody has been swimming great and the team has had a lot of personal best times," said Pitt-Bradford interim swim coach Jamie Hannold. "Some individuals who haven't quite reached their best time's yet are being great teammates by keeping the spirit and team morale high." 

Cary Behm finished seventh in the men's 1650 free with a time of 17:37.25 while Lucas Cerchiaro finished 15th overall in the 200 IM, swimming a 2:09.38. 

Elizabeth Prager, Wehonna Toth, Ann Confer and Rebecca Avery finished sixth in the women's 800 freestyle relay while Zack France, Corey Koss, Behm and Cerchiaro picked up an eighth place finish in 800 freestyle relay.

Prager led the way for the women with a sixth place finish in the 1650 free, swimming an 18:57.58 while Confer added an eighth place finish in the 50 free with a time of 25.46. Prager added a seventh place finish in the 200 backstroke and Ava Young followed in 14th. Julia Pietrek finished seventh in the 100 IM.

Alex Renwick added an 11th place finish in the 200 fly while Jeff Cattoni finished 15th in the 100 breaststroke. Koss finished 12th in the 200 backstroke and Cerchiaro added an 11th place finish in the 100 fly.

The Panthers return to action January 9 at Franciscan University at 1 p.m.
