BRADFORD, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's swimming team fell, 89-76, to Penn State Altoona on Saturday afternoon.

Ava Young led the Panthers for the second straight week, garnering three first place finishes. She won the 100 back (1:06.38) while also playing a key part in the winning 200-medley relay and 200 free relay.

"The team had a lot of fun with the shorter races today," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Ed Bahan. "We are still having many swimmers that are close to or faster their personal best times."

Ann Confer, Elizabeth Prager and Becky Avery joined Young on the winning 200 medley relay team that swam a 2:07.57 and the winning 200 free team that finished with a time of 1:49.41.

Prager dominated the 1650 free with a time of 20:10.55 while Confer added a victory in the 50 free with a time of 25.63. Avery added a victory in the 100 free with a 1:03.74.

The Panthers return to action Sat. Nov. 7 at home against Buffalo State at 1 p.m.
