Pitt-Bradford Women's Soccer wins USC Ethics and Sportsmanship Award

Bradford, Pa. -- For the second consecutive competitive season, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer program has been recognized for its fair play.

The Panthers were awarded a Gold Level Ethics and Sportsmanship Award by United Soccer Coaches for their play during the 2021-22 season. The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adhere to the laws of the game. In 17 games played, the Panthers received just one yellow card.

"Playing with integrity and sportsmanship has been part of the foundation of our program and I'm very proud that the team has received this award for the second year in a row." said head coach Melissa Graham. "Not many teams can say within two seasons they've only received one yellow card and I think that says a lot about the type of players we have in this program."

During the 2019-20 season, the Panthers received the Platinum Level of the award as they did not receive any cautions during the season.

The Panthers were one of 17 collegiate teams to win the gold level of the award. They were also one of three AMCC member programs to be honored.
