Panthers to Host Lions on Senior Day

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team will host Penn State-Altoona in their penultimate home game on Saturday afternoon. Prior to kick-off, the Panthers will recognize some of their players with Senior Day festivities.

The Panthers are set to graduate 5 players in the class of 2022. Goalkeeper Emily Bethel, Defender Katie Anderton, midfielders Cassidy Fenner, and Gianna Granito and forward Emily Royea will all be recognized along with family and friends in a pregame ceremony.

Once the action begins, the Panthers will be looking to pick up their first win of the season. In their last game, the Panthers erased a first-half deficit but fell to Hilbert 2-1 in their midweek matchup. Emily Goetz scored the lone goal in the game for the Panthers. Bethel made 7 saves in the loss. Cassidy King and Carolelyn LaPraire have been key members of the Panthers' offensive attack this season. LaPrairie has scored 2 goals on 8 shots, while King has also added two.

The Lions enter the match with a 6-6 overall record and a 4-1 record in AMCC play. They defeated La Roche 3-0 in their last game. Sadie McConnell and Mallorie Smith have led the Lions' attack this season. They each have scored 6 goals on the year and added 5 assists. Smith leads the team with 47 shots, while McConnell has taken 32 attempts. Adeline Baustert has started 6 games for Penn State-Altoona and has a 4-3 record this season.

The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on the soccer field at the Kessel Athletic Complex.
