Panthers Looking to Get into Win Column Against Hilbert

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team is searching for its first win of the season and will aim to get into the win column on Tuesday as they host Hilbert College.

The Panthers have struggled to find their footing through the first 12 games this season, as they are still searching for their first win. While they have yet to be victorious this season, they have played markedly better on their home turf. In their 5 home games this season, they have scored 9 of their 11 goals and earned their lone draw. They fell to top of the conference Penn State Behrend in their midweek match-up and also had a tough 4-2 loss to LaRoche last Saturday. Alexis Gibbons and Delaney Stowe lead the Panthers' attack, scoring thre goals each. Stowe has also added an assist. Senior Katie Anderton has been a mainstay in the Panther defensive line, and has also added a goal and an assist. Senior goalkeeper Emily Bethel is nearing the 1000 minute mark on the season, and has made 105 saves, the 2nd best total in the AMCC.

The Hawks enter the game with a 1-6-1 record and a 0-3-1 record in AMCC play. They lost their last game 4-0 at Mount Aloysius last Saturday. Sophomore Macy Kisner is the Hawks' leading scorer, putting 3 into the goal. Classmate Grace Zabawa has scored two and assisted on two more. Haylee Jozwiak has played the last two games in goal for Hilbert. She made 10 saves in the 3-2 overtime loss to Medaille and 5 more against Mount Aloysius this weekend.

The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Kessel Athletic Complex.
