Panthers Back On The Road For Weekend Showdown At Geneva Friday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team will travel to Geneva for a matchup with the Golden Tornadoes on Friday.

The Panthers are coming off a single game at home on Wednesday, their home opener vs. Houghton. 

Prior to Wednesday's 1-0 loss, Pitt-Bradford captured a pair of shutout wins at Alfred (Sept. 9) and at Keuka (Sept. 10).

For her performance in the weekend's clean sheets, goalkeeper Sarah Dailey was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Defensive Player of the Week. On the year, Dailey has 45 saves, the second most in the AMCC. Her .804 save percentage is also the fifth best of any keeper in the conference.

Courtney Shade netted a pair of goals over the weekend and holds the team lead with two. Abby Celesky, Grace Dadzaa and Meghan Stuck also have goals for the Panthers.

Kaitlyn Williams leads the team with 13 shots and has put seven on goal. 

Friday's game at Geneva is set to begin at 5 p.m.

  • The Geneva Golden Tornadoes welcome the Panthers having worked a 2-3 record in their first five games of the 2017 season.
  • Both wins came on their home turf at the Merriman Athletic Complex against AMCC rivals La Roche (Sept. 2) and Medaille (Sept. 7).
