Panthers to Host Lions in AMCC Tilt

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will be back in action in KOA Arena on Wednesday evening, as they will host the Penn State-Behrend Lions in their penultimate home game of the regular season.

The Panthers are 3-17 on the season with a 1-9 record in AMCC play. In their last game, the Panthers took on Mount Aloysius, and despite trailing early, were able to battle back to take a 4th quarter lead. Unfortunately, they were not able to stay with the Mounties late, ultimately falling 55-50. McKenna Kelly led the Panthers with 12 points in the game. Abigail Goss added 8 points and grabbed 12 rebounds despite playing only 22 minutes due to foul trouble. Ashley Hall is the Panther's leading scorer this season, averaging 10.1 points per game. Freshmen McKenna Kelly and Abigail Goss have come on of late, averaging 9.6 and 9.3 points per game in conference play. Hall also leads the Panthers in rebounding, collecting 6.8 per game. 

The Penn State-Behrend Lions are 16-5 this season with an 8-2 record in AMCC play. Sophomore guard Rachel Majewski currently leads the conference in scoring, as she averages 18.9 points per game. The Lions have two other players who average double figures, as Morgan Altavilla scores 16.1 points per contest and Madilyn Boyer adds 15.8. Brianna Dean is the Lions' leading rebounder, at 6.8 per game. 

In their previous matchup, the Panthers were unable to keep up with Penn State-Behrend, falling 45-105. Alexa Ackerman led the Panthers with 10 points in the game. She also finished with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Ashley Hall added 8. 5 different Lions reached double figures in the game, led bu Altavilla, who had 19.
