BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team had its win streak snapped Saturday as Pitt-Greensburg came through with a 66-63 win at the KOA Arena.

With the defeat, Pitt-Bradford moves to 3-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play, while Pitt-Greensburg improves to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in AMCC action.

Pitt-Bradford, Pitt-Greensburg and La Roche hold a three-way tie for second in the AMCC and Hilbert is the stand-alone leader at 4-0 early in the conference season.

The Panthers were off to their best start to conference play in program history at 3-0.

In the closing seconds of the game, Pitt-Bradford had chances to tie the game but all attempts were off the mark and Greensburg held on for the win.

Shirleah Ragin led the Panthers with 19 points while Jennifer Isenberg dropped 15 points and collected 11 boards for a double-double.

Shaelyn Snipes was also in double-figures for the Panthers with 13 points.

The two teams got off to an equal start with the Panthers exiting the first period with a 19-18 advantage.

Later in period two, Greensburg opened up a 34-31 lead.

But it would be quickly erased, as Ragin knocked down a three-pointer in the closing seconds of the half, intercepted the inbound pass then connected on a baseline jumper as time expired to send Pitt-Bradford into the break ahead 36-34.

The Panthers came through with a strong third quarter and rode eight points from Ragin to take a 54-50 lead into the fourth period.

But then in the fourth, Greensburg held Pitt-Bradford to 18.2 percent shooting (4-22) and outscored Pitt-Bradford 16-9 in the period to pull away.

Etreece Adams and Isenberg had three blocked shots apiece.

Greensburg connected on eight three-pointers and the Panthers made three.

Snipes was one rebound shy of a double-double with nine.

Up next, the Panthers will be idle for the week to focus on final exams but will be back in action next Saturday on the road at Franciscan.
