John Carroll Bests Panthers In Non-Conference Action Tuesday

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team competed at John Carroll for a non-conference road contest Tuesday.

John Carroll (2-1) defeated the Panthers (0-4), 79-37.

"Not the outcome we were looking for," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "We turned the ball over too much and never got into a rhythm. But it's early and we are going through growing pains with a new team. Tomorrow is another day to get better."

Jennifer Isenberg led Pitt-Bradford with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Shaelyn Snipes and Jenna Hicks had seven points apiece. Hicks also pulled down nine rebounds.

John Carroll opened up a 14-6 lead after the first quarter, and eventually extended its lead and took a 34-20 lead into halftime.

They later maintained control for the whole second half as well, outscoring the Panthers 22-13 in the third and later 27-6 in the fourth to secure the victory.

John Carroll shot 37.8 percent from the floor and held the Panthers to 28.8 percent shooting.

Pitt-Bradford was 0-7 on three-point attempts while John Carroll knocked down 10 three-balls.

The Panthers will return home to the KOA Arena Wednesday, Nov. 28, to host Medaille for their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opener.
