BRADFORD, Pa – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team fell to Penn State-Behrend, 77-71, Saturday at the KOA Arena in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game. 

"We didn't execute down the stretch and we turned the ball over too much," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "They capitalized off of that and played to win in the end."

With the setback, the Panthers fall to 9-7 in AMCC games and Penn State-Behrend improves to an even 8-8. The Panthers sit tied with Medaille for third place in the conference.

Prior to the start of the game, the women's basketball program and the Department of Athletics honored Ali Rinfrette as the Panthers' lone graduating senior for Senior Day.

Rinfrette led all scorers with 23 points and collected nine rebounds.

Jennifer Isenberg scored 18 points and also grabbed nine boards. 

Pitt-Bradford put together a strong opening quarter, as the Panthers outscored the Lions, 26-18.

Isenberg was perfect, going 4-4 from the field and 2-2 at the line for 10 quick points.

Rinfrette added eight to help the Panthers come out of the quarter with the lead.

Behrend found its form offensively in the second, though.

The Lions never led in the quarter, but they went on a run and worked a 34-34 tie with 2:15 left in the first half.

Buckets from Shaelyn Snipes and Rinfrette in the final minute of the half helped hold off the Lions, and an "and-one" from Behrend with 19 seconds remaining sent the Panthers into the break holding a 38-37 lead.

The Panthers controlled much of the third quarter, as they held Behrend to just four field goals in the quarter.

Rinfrette led the Panthers in scoring with five points in the quarter including a three-pointer.

Snipes and Isenberg scored four points apiece, as Rinfrette and Bri Wells each assisted a pair of buckets in the quarter.

A pair at the line from Lyric Collins followed by a bucket from Behrend in the closing seconds of the period gave the Panthers a 10-point advantage, 57-47, heading into the fourth. 

But it was all Behrend in the fourth, as the Lions outscored the Panthers 30-14 in the quarter to take the advantage.

As a team, the Panthers turned the ball over nine times in the fourth quarter.

A three-ball at the 4:22 mark gave the Lions their first lead of the quarter, 65-63.

But buckets from Isenberg and Rinfrette on three-straight possessions had Pitt-Bradford ahead, 69-65, with just over two minutes left in regulation.

Later, five-straight Behrend points off costly Pitt-Bradford turnovers put the Lions ahead, 72-71, with 30 seconds to play.

The Lions made their free-throws down the stretch and secured the 77-71 win. 

While the Panthers turned the ball over 27 times, they forced 25 Penn State-Behrend turnovers and collected 16 steals. Isenberg had the most with five.

In addition to her five steals, Isenberg had just as many blocked shots.

Wells led the game with six assists.

Pitt-Bradford won the battle on the boards with 40 rebounds to Behrend's 38.

Up next, the Panthers will play their final regular season home game as Penn State-Altoona comes to the KOA Arena Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
