The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team's shooting woes continued Saturday afternoon in a 75-64 loss to Pitt-Greensburg.

For the second straight game, the Panthers fell into a big hole and never climbed out of it despite forcing a season-high 33 turnovers. Pitt-Bradford shot 33 percent from the field and was just 5-23 behind the arc.

Tied at seven in the first quarter, Pitt-Greensburg outscored the Panthers 26-7 over the next 10 minutes, stretching into the second quarter, to build a commanding 19-point lead. During that span, Pitt-Bradford was 3-17 from the floor and committed four turnovers. The Panthers eventually trailed 39-21 at the break.

Pitt-Greensburg's advantage grew to 23 in the third quarter, but nine straight points by the Panthers to end the frame trimmed the margin to 14 at 53-39.

Pitt-Bradford continued to make a late push in the final quarter, cutting the deficit to six with 1:45 remaining, but the Bobcats scored on consecutive possessions to seal the win. Pitt-Greensburg held off the Panthers' by going 9-10 from the charity stripe over the final two minutes.

The Bobcats shot 46 percent from the field, hit 23 of 29 free throw attempts, and outrebounded the Panthers by 20. Pitt-Bradford went to the line just 16 times and surrendered 15 second-chance points.

Ali Rinfrette paced the offense with 21 points, Darien Lantz finished with 10, and Brittany Watts and Anna Colebert each had nine apiece. Kaserra Owens totaled eight rebounds and seven steals.

Pitt-Bradford, which has lost two straight, drops to 8-7 on the season and 6-3 in the AMCC. The Panthers host Hilbert Wednesday at 6 p.m.
