Ali Rinfrette scored a career-high 38 points to lead the Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team to its sixth straight win Monday night, an 86-75 victory over D'Youville.

Rinfrette turned in her second 30-point performance of the season and the seventh of her career. She finished the game 11-19 from the field and 9-13 from the charity stripe. She was a rebound shy of a double-double and added five assists.

Both teams were playing for the second time in three days, and the first quarter was indicative of the short turnaround. Pitt-Bradford led 13-11 after the first 10 minutes as the teams combined to shoot 8-36 from the field and commit eight turnovers.

Shots started to fall in the second quarter as the pace quickened, particularly for the Panthers. Leading by one, an Anna Colebert putback sparked a 9-2 Pitt-Bradford scoring run. The lead would reach double-digits before the half concluded, and the Panthers led 41-31 at the break.

Pitt-Bradford ambushed the Spartans to open the second half, scoring the first 11 points of the period to go up 52-31. Brittany Watts jumpstarted the offense with a basket, Rinfrette hit a three on the next possession, and Shirleah Ragin's layup following a steal signaled the rout was on.

Pitt-Bradford led by as much as 30 before the quarter ended, and D'Youville never threatened again. The Spartans struggled with the Panthers' full-court pressure, committing 25 turnovers, which led to 25 Pitt-Bradford points.

The Panthers only shot 36 percent from the field, but connected for nine threes, including seven by Rinfrette. D'Youville hit 36 percent of its attempts yet was 19 of 32 from the line. Pitt-Bradford outrebounded the Spartans by four and had 20 offensive boards.

Kaserra Owens also finished in double-figures for the Panthers, scoring 14 points and adding 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Watts totaled nine points and eight rebounds, and Darien Lantz had seven points, five assists, and four steals.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 8-5 on the season and 6-1 in the AMCC. The Panthers hit the road Wednesday for a conference test at Medaille.
