Mansfield held the Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team to a season-low 29 percent shooting Wednesday evening en route to defeating the Panthers 69-51.

The 51 points also represent Pitt-Bradford's lowest scoring output of the season. For the game, the Panthers shot just 18 of 62 from the field and were eight of 18 from the free throw line.

Mansfield led by 16 after the opening quarter, using a 10-0 spurt early in the frame to pull ahead for good, and the Mounties extended the lead to 45-28 at the break behind eight first half three-pointers.

Despite being outscored by only one point in the second half, the Panthers managed just six made field goals, and they would trail by as much as 21 before the contest ended.

The Mounties dominated inside, outscoring Pitt-Bradford 34-19 in the paint and holding a 54-35 edge in rebounding. Mansfield scored 22 points off 15 Panther turnovers and netted 16 fast break points.

Brittany Watts led the Pitt-Bradford offense with 13 points, and Darien Lantz chipped in with 11 points, including hitting three three-pointers. Ali Rinfrette handed out a team-high six assists, and Lantz totaled four steals.

Pitt-Bradford drops to 2-5 on the season and will host conference opponent Franciscan Saturday at 2 p.m. It will be the Panthers' final home game of the first semester.
