UPB Women Cruise Past Hilbert

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team (15-5, 11-2) picked up another convincing victory over an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent with an 88-67 win over Hilbert (9-12, 5-9) on Wednesday night in the KOA Arena. 

Anna Colebert was incredible from long distance, knocking down seven three-point buckets and scoring a career-high 26 points to lead the Pitt-Bradford offense. Abby Brate followed with 12 points and 10 assists for her first double-double of the season. Ali Rinfrette added 22 points and four assists while Casey Stringer rounded out the Panther's offense with seven points in the victory.

Shannon Rogers led the Hawks' offense with a double-double, including 20 points and 15 rebounds. Wyann Jackson followed with 18 points and Kelsi Ebert picked up 10 points in the loss.

The Panthers once again overcame a sluggish start, outscoring the Hawks 69-51 in the final three quarters after holding just a three-point lead after the game's first 10 minutes.

As a team, Pitt-Bradford shot 41.2% from beyond the arc and 44.8% from the floor while holding the Hawks to just 27.3% from three-point land. 

Defensively, as they have done all season, the Panthers forced 24 turnovers and held a 39-8 advantage in points off of turnovers.

Pitt-Bradford led by as many as 28 with 5:54 left in the fourth quarter and cruised to an 88-67 victory over Hilbert.
