UPB Athletics, Office of Community Engagement to Collect Cases of Bottled Water to be sent to Flint, Mich.

BRADFORD, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Athletic Department and Office of Community Engagement will collect cases of bottled water to be sent to the residents of Flint, Mich. during Wednesday evening's basketball doubleheader against Penn State Behrend at the KOA Arena. 

The Pitt-Bradford athletic department has also invited the Penn State Behrend basketball family to participate. The men's game is set to tip at 6 p.m. with the women's game to follow at 8 p.m. 

If you are unable to attend the games, bottled water will also be collected at the Dr. Richard and Ruth McDowell Sport and Fitness Center until 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The cases of water will be sent to True Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo, N.Y. on Thursday evening and will then be shipped to Flint, Mich. 

Flint, Mi. remains in a public health emergency due to their unfiltered tap water's rising lead levels. Many residents are relying on donated bottles of water.
