UPB Women Stay Hot, Dominate DYU 62-47

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team turned in yet another dominating AMCC performance, cruising to a 62-47 victory over D'Youville on Thursday night in the KOA Arena. 

Abby Brate and Kaserra Owens led the Panther attack with 14 points each. Owens added seven rebounds and five steals while Brate had a team-high five assists. Ali Rinfrette followed with a double-double, posting 12 points and 10 rebounds. Casey Stringer chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds to round out the Panther's scoring in double figures in the victory over the Spartans. 

Danette Laguerre led the D'Youville offense with 15 points and four steals while Magan Magee added 11 points and six rebounds in the loss. 

Neither team got out to a great start, but it was the Panthers that held a 13-11 advantage after the opening quarter. 

The final three quarters were all Pitt-Bradford, as the Panthers dominated the Spartans en route to a 62-47 victory. 

The UPB defense was terrific yet again, forcing 30 Spartan turnovers, leading to 18 points.

Pitt-Bradford returns to action Saturday at LaRoche at 4 p.m.
