LVC Tops UPB Women, 71-54

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team couldn't overcome a tough, well rounded, Lebanon Valley College team, falling 71-54 Sunday afternoon at the KOA Arena.

"Lebanon Valley played a great game. We knew they were going to be a tough team," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Sean Brown Sr. "They came out and out worked us from the opening tip and we struggled to get back in the game."

Ali Rinfrette played well in the loss, posting 25 points, seven rebounds and four steals while Kaserra Owens added 13 points and two steals. Anna Colebert provided a spark off of the Panther's bench, scoring 12 points and adding two assists in the loss.

The Flying Dutchmen shot nearly 50 percent from the field and out rebounded the Panthers 51-24. Lebanon Valley also dominated the post, outscoring Pitt-Bradford 40-18 in the paint.

The Panthers return to action Saturday at 3 p.m. for their AMCC opener against Franciscan in the KOA Arena.
