Johns Hopkins Drops UPB in Tournament Opener

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team suffered it first loss of the season, falling 75-66, at John's Hopkins on Saturday afternoon. 

"We played really well in the first half, but just ran out of gas in the second half," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Sean Brown Sr. "Abby and Kaserra led the charge for us in a losing effort."

Kaserra Owens led the Panthers with 15 points and eight rebounds while Abby Brate followed with 12 points, five assists and four steals. Darien Lantz rounded out the Panther's in double figures with 11 points and team-high six steals.

The schedule doesn't get any easier for Pitt-Bradford as they cap off the Johns Hopkins Tournament against Catholic University at 1 p.m.
