Panthers Continue Hot Start, Cruise to 94-67 Victory

Kaserra Owens led a relentless Pitt-Bradford offense and a suffocating defense in a convincing, 94-67, victory over Alfred State on Tuesday night in the KOA Arena.

"Kaserra was truly outstanding for us tonight on both ends of the floor," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Sean Brown. "We were once again able to turn our defense into offense, as we scored the majority of our points off of turnovers."

Owens finished with 20 points, seven steals and six boards while Ali Rinfrette added 21 points and five assists. Abby Brate followed with 11 points and eight assists. Casey Stringer rounded out the Panther's in double figures with 16 points and seven rebounds. Ashley Fleming chipped in with eight point and five boards off of the bench in the victory.

The Panther offense forced 41 Pioneer turnovers and committed just 12 of their own on the offensive end. Pitt-Bradford led by as many 39 late in the fourth quarter.

Pitt-Bradford shot 40 percent from the field (35-87) and nearly 30 percent from beyond the arc (7-25).

The Panthers improved to 2-0 on the season and will head to Johns Hopkins Saturday for their annual tournament in Maryland.
