Panther Softball to Host Winter Hitting Clinics

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball program will open 2023 with a set of winter hitting clinics for softball players in grades 4-12.

The Panthers will hold three two-hour sessions in which attendees will include instruction from coaches and players on the fundamentals of hitting, bunting, and slap-hitting. They will also have an opportunity to work on these skills through hitting drills. 

The clinics will be held on Sunday, January 15, 22, and 29. They will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last until approximately 12:30 p.m. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the McDowell Sport and Fitness Center at 10:00 a.m. on each clinic day. The clinics will take place in the Sport and Recreation center. 

Participants will be required to bring tennis shoes/sneakers, and a bat and helmet, with batting gloves, recommended.

Pre-registration for the clinics is required, with the deadline for this set for Monday, January, 9th. The pre-registration form can be found here and must be mailed to the address below with payment included. Registration will be limited to the first 36 paid participants.

The cost for the clinics is $30 for an individual session or $75 for all three weeks. Checks can be made payable to University of Pittsburgh.
