10 Panthers Earn Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team saw 10 team members recognized by Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as All-American Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday.

Each year, Easton and the NFCA recognize student-athletes across all levels of collegiate competition for their accomplishments in the classroom during the previous academic year. Student-athletes earn the honor by achieving a grade point average above 3.50 during the entire academic year. This season, 8.297 student-athletes were recognized, including 2,369 at the Division III level.

Seniors Chloe Cordova, Marguerite DeFranco, and Daytona Wentzel all earned the honor for the 3rd time in their careers. Madison Camp, Hannah Fisher, Lizzy Hoovler, Rachel Przybysz, and Ashley Stein were recognized for the second time in their careers, while Krislyn Clement and Meghan Kapp were first-time honorees.

"I am extremely proud of our players for the work they have put in to be successful both in the classroom and on the field," said head coach Tina Phillips. "We had a strong mix of upper-class students that have continued building on their successes from previous years, while some younger players have worked to take the baton and will reinforce the importance of academic success within our team culture."
