McLaughlin Named AMCC Softball Player of the Week

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team picked up four important conference wins over the weekend, and as a result, had one of their players selected as AMCC Player of the Week.

Faith McLaughlin had a huge week for the Panthers, hitting .714 for the week. She hit two doubles and a triple, while scoring nine runs, driving in four more, and stealing four bases. Over a three-game stretch, she recorded hits in eight straight at-bats. In the sweep of Pitt-Greensburg, she tallied three runs batted in, four runs scored, five hits, and two doubles.

This is the first time McLaughlin has won the award. She is the 3rd Panther to be named Player of the Week, as Chloe Cordova won the award on March 6th and Daytona Wentzel won it on March 27th.

The Panthers finished their regular season 10-25, with an AMCC record of 6-8. They secured the 5th seed in the upcoming AMCC Tournament and will take on #4 LaRoche in the first round. The tournament is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 11th at 10:00 a.m.
