Bradford, Pa. -- University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball player Ashley Stein became the third member of her team to receive AMCC Athlete of the Week honors as she was named Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Stein threw her first career complete-game shutout in the Panthers' 2-0 win over Medaille last week. Stein limited the Mavericks to just six hits without walking a batter. She threw just 80 pitches in the game, with 53 of them for strikes. This was coming off of a 3-1 complete-game win over Mount Aloysius the weekend before. Through two conference starts, Stein is 2-0 with a 0.50 earned run average. She has allowed 6 hits in each of the games while allowing only 1 walk over 14.0 innings pitched.

This is the first career Pitcher of the Week award for Stein. She is the third member of the Panther softball team to win a weekly award.

The Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday with an away doubleheader at Hilbert, before hosting Penn State-Altoona on Thursday.
