6 Panthers Named All-American Scholar Athletes

Louisville, Ky.— Six softball players from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford were honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association this week as they were named Scholar All Americans for 2021-22.

Easton and the NFCA awarded softball players who earned a 3.5 grade point average for the 2021-22 academic year. This year 7,527 student-athletes were recognized.

The list of honorees included 6 Panther players, including 3 who earned the honor for the 2nd time in their careers. The Organizations recognize student-athletes who earn a GPA higher than 3.5 for the academic year.

“I am always proud to see so many Panthers on this list season after season,” said Head Coach Tina Phillips. “The commitment the team makes to their academics, especially during these trying times in higher education, is fantastic.”

Rising seniors Chloe Cordova, Marguerite DeFranco, and Daytona Wentzel each won the award for the second time. Rising Junior Hannah Fisher and rising sophomores Madison Camp and Elizabeth Hoovler all earned the honor for the first time.

The program has seen a total of 88 student-athletes achieve the honor since 2003-04.
