Pitt-Bradford Softball to Host Winter Hitting Clinic in February

Bradford,Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's softball team will be running a hitting clinic on Sundays in February for area players in grades 4-12 looking for instruction and practice at vital part of the game.

The Winter hitting camp will include lessons on the fundamentals of hitting, bunting and slap hitting. Enrollees will take part in hitting drills and recieve group and one-on-one instruction from Panther softball players and coaches. It will be held over 3 Sundays, on the 2nd, 9th and 16th of February. Each session will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Participants are expected to bring tennis shoes, a bat and a helmet, and are recommended to bring batting gloves. Registration for each session will be held at 9:30 a.m. inthe McDowell Sport and Fitness center prior to the beginning of each session.

Pre-Registration for the camp is required, as it will be limited to the first 36 paid participants in order to ensure one-on-one instruction. Cost for participation in the clinic is $30 for one session, or $75 to attend all three. The pre-registration deadline is Monday, January, 27th, 2020. Completed applications and payment can be mailed to Tina Phillips, 300 Campus Drive, Bradford, Pa. 16701. Checks can be made payable to the University of Pittsburgh.
