Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team was named a Team Peak Performer by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference on Tuesday.

The AMCC recognizes one program from each sponsored sport that finishes the Fall semester with the highest GPA in the conference. The Panthers softball team took the award for their respective sport with a 3.562 GPA this fall. 

When asked about the team's accomplishment, head coach Tina Phillips said, "I am always proud of my team, but even more today. This award is a first for us and gives us something to celebrate right now without having games to play. As a whole, this group takes great pride in their studies, and to see them get rewarded for their efforts is awesome."
