The Pitt-Bradford softball team will be hosting a winter pitcher and catcher clinic Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Sport and Fitness Center on campus.

Head coach Tina Phillips and members of the softball team will instruct participants through various drills, including the basics of the pitching motion, catching techniques and reading batters.

The clinic will run from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for athletes in fourth grade through 12th grade. The cost to attend is $30 and limited to the first 28 participants. The registration deadline is Mon., Feb. 6, and checks should be made payable to the University of Pittsburgh. Participants need to bring sneakers, a glove and catcher's equipment (optional); cleats are prohibited.

Additionally, there are still a few remaining spots for the indoor winter hitting camp that will run every Sunday morning from Jan. 29 through Feb. 12.

The camp will run from 10 a.m. to noon every Sunday, and the cost is $75 or participants can choose to attend only one session for $30.

Phillips has guided the Panthers to four AMCC titles, three NCAA Division III tournament appearances and 245 career wins.
