Men's Tennis Unable to Top Defending Champions

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Men's Tennis team, hosted last Spring's champions, Mount Aloysius, on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers lost the match 7-2.

The Panthers struggled to score against the Mounties in all of the contested matches, as they were only able to win 4 games. Christian Dixon had the best showing for the Panthers, Picking up a game victory in each of the three sets he played. He was part of the number one doubles pairing, which lost 8-1, and lost at number 2 singles 6-1, 6-1. Luke Gratz picked up a game in the number 4 singles match. 

The Panthers were able to accrue their first points of the year due to Mount Aloysius Forfeits. Gratz and Waylan Jennette picked up the first point in the third doubles pairing, while Jennette recorded the win by forfeit at number 6 singles.

The Panthers will have a week to prepare for their next match when they will play Baldwin Wallace in a neutral site match-up in Erie. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday the 25th at Westwood Tennis Center in Erie.
