Panthers Resume AMCC Action At Franciscan

STEUBENVILLE, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh tennis programs were in action Sunday at Franciscan for Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matches.

Both the Panthers men's and women's teams fell by scores of 9-0 to the Barons.

In the men's match, Franciscan worked perfect 8-0 scores in all three doubles matches.

Drew Patla worked the closest singles match, finding a pair of points in the second set of his No. 5 match.

In the women's match, Jessica Jordan and Abbie Buerkle managed a pair of points in the second set of their respective singles matches.

The closest doubles match was the No. 3 matchup featuring the Panthers team of Aaliyah Smith and Buerkle.

Up next, the Panthers women's team will head to La Roche Friday while the men's team will compete next on Oct. 5 against Penn State-Behrend.
