Panthers Complete Action In St. Bonaventure Fall Classic

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's tennis team wrapped up action in the St. Bonaventure Fall Classic Sunday, closing out its match against the host St. Bonaventure before taking on Niagara.

"The St. Bonaventure Fall Classic was a great tournament," Head Coach Susan Schenfield said. "Our opponents were tough, but we competed very hard and with a lot of great energy. Our goal was to get match experience, and as a whole, we take away a lot of positives from this event."

The Bonnies completed the clean sweep over the Panthers, taking the three doubles matches after winning all six singles matches on Saturday.

The No. 1 doubles team of Tyler Dugan and Jacob Volz worked two points in their match, but fell, 8-2.

Dugan and Volz also managed a point in their respective singles matches Saturday against St. Bonaventure.

The Niagara Purple Eagles claimed a 9-0 win over the Panthers in the team's final action of the event.

Dugan and Volz worked a point in their No. 1 doubles match, while also completing singles action.

Matthew Gram, Drew Patla and Noah Magill all played full singles matches for the Panthers as well.

The weekend's action wraps up the Panthers' fall events. Pitt-Bradford will be in action next in the spring as Penn State-Altoona comes to town on March 17, 2018, for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match.
