Pitt-Bradford Suffers a Pair of Road Conference Losses

The Pitt-Bradford men's tennis team dropped a pair of road AMCC matches this weekend. The Panthers were edged 5-4 by Penn State Altoona Saturday and fell 7-2 to Mt. Aloysius Sunday morning.

Pitt-Bradford led 2-1 after doubles against Penn State Altoona, but the Lions won four of six flights in singles play to clip the Panthers. The duo of Kosta Teverovskiy and Tyler Dugan won 9-7, and John Parsell and Tyler Richmond triumphed 8-4.

Dugan was a 6-3, 6-0 winner in singles, and Richmond prevailed 6-0, 6-1. The Lions won the match by winning in the third set in both the No. 5 and No. 6 flights.

Against Mt. Aloysius, the Panthers only wins came in the No. 3 doubles and No. 2 singles. Parsell and Richmond won their doubles match 9-8 on a tiebreaker (7-4), and Dugan remained undefeated in conference play, winning 6-3, 6-3.

Pitt-Bradford drops to 2-6 on the season and 1-2 in the AMCC. The Panthers travel to Penn State Behrend Friday for a 5 p.m. match.
