Panthers Drop Season Opener to Houghton

The Pitt-Bradford men's tennis team dropped its season opener Friday 5-4 to Houghton.

The pair of Kosta Teveroskiy and Tyler Dugan prevailed 8-2 in the No. 1 doubles match, and both Teveroskiy and Dugan won their singles match. Teveroskiy won 8-3 and Dugan rolled 8-0. Tyler Richmond accounted for the only other victory, winning 8-2 in the No. 3 singles flight. After Pitt-Bradford rallied to jump ahead 4-3, the Highlanders won the final three flights of singles to secure the victory.

The Panthers will wrap up the fall portion of its 2016-17 schedule next Friday against Geneva, which will be played in Erie, Pa.
