Men's Tennis Sweeps Keuka in Season Finale

OLEAN, N.Y. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's tennis team closed out the 2016 campaign with two victories over Keuka College on Sunday evening at the St. Bonaventure Fitness Center.

The Panthers won the first match, which was a first team to five match, by a score of 6-1. They then won the finale, 6-3 to complete the sweep.

"Today's doubleheader was a team effort of serves and court coverage," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Susan Schenfield. "As we end our season, we fell short of winning it all, but I do believe we will do so in the near future. We had to overcome injuries, illnesses and doubts of our ability. But, this is a team of talented and charismatic young players that will only get better."

Kosta Teverovsky and John Parsell won at first doubles and both added singles victories as well to pace the Panthers to a victory in the opener. Rilan Galicic and Zach Hadfield won 7-6 at second doubles and Matt Dennis and Alex Jadlowiec captured an 8-4 victory at third doubles.

Dennis and Jadlowiec led the Panthers in the second match of the day, winning at third doubles and then third and fifth singles, respectively. Galicic and Parsell chipped in with an 8-1 victory at second doubles while Teverovsky and Buck added singles victories to help Pitt-Bradford to the sweep.

With the sweep, the Panthers finish the 2016 season with a record of 4-6.
