Men's Tennis Falls 7-2 in Season Opener

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's tennis team fell, 7-2, in their season opener Sunday evening at Penn State Behrend.

Jordan Dugan and Kosta Teverovsky were the lone winners for UPB.

"As a team we had some good forehands and backhands," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Susan Schenfield. "Kosta and Jordan played a great match, winning in a tough tiebreaker. We need to keep playing our game."

Teverosky won 6-4, 5-7, 10-8 at first singles while Dugan won 1-6, 6-4, 10-2 at second singles.

The Lions swept the four remaining singles matches, as well as all three doubles matches. 

The Panthers return to action Thursday, Feb. 25 for their home opener against D'Youville at 6:30 p.m.
