Baldwin, Rider Named AMCC Players of the Week

Bradford, Pa. -- After back to back 8-0 victories, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team had two of its players recognized by the AMCC as Players of the Week.

Senior Chase Rider was named AMCC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Rider was unstoppable for the Panthers this week as he scored six goals and added five assists in the two games. Against Hilbert, Rider scored three goals and assisted on three more. Over the weekend, he scored his second consecutive hat trick with three goals against Penn-State Altoona and then added two more assists. Rider took 22 shots and put 11 on target. He converted on 27% of his shot attempts. 

Sophomore center-back Evan Baldwin was named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Baldwin was a mainstay in Pitt-Bradford's defensive line, as he played 178 of 180 minutes in the two shut-out victories over Hilbert and Penn State Altoona. Baldwin made numerous important interventions and blocks in the game, while only committing one foul on the week.

The Panthers are 6-6-1 on the year with a 4-2 record in conference play. They are currently in 4th place in the conference standings. They return to action on Wednesday, October 20th at Medaille.
