Panthers Looking for Important Conference Win on Senior Day

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team will host Penn State-Altoona on Saturday afternoon, in a matchup for 4th place in the conference standings, while also holding Senior Day festivities before the game begins.

Prior to kickoff, the Panthers will recognize their four graduating seniors in a pregame ceremony. Sihle Sizani, TJ Magro, Brent Kennedy, and Chase Rider will all be recognized for their dedication to and achievements with the Pitt-Bradford soccer program.

The Panthers enter the game with a 5-6-1 overall record, and a 3-2 record in AMCC play. They are currently tied for 4th place with Penn State-Altoona, who they will take on Saturday. In their last game, the Panthers dominated Hilbert to the tune of an 8-0 victory. Chase Rider had 3 goals and 3 assists in the game, while Scott Compson added two goals and an assist. Allee Williams, Spencer Sklar and Jan Winnewisser also added goals in the game.

Chase Rider has been the focus of the Panther attack this season. He is tied for the AMCC lead with 16 goals and is also tied for 2nd in the nation. He leads all of Division III with 40 points. Scott Compson has 6 goals and 4 assists on the season and Jan Winnewisser has scored 4 times and added 4 assists. Sihle Sizani is 4-3-1 on the season and has made 63 saves.

The Lions are 9-4 on the season and are tied with the Panthers with a 3-2 AMCC record. They picked up a 2-1 win over La Roche in their midweek matchup. Ciaran Corr will lead the Lion attack, as he has scored 11 goals and added 3 assists. Tommy Packevicz has played nearly all of the minutes in goal for Altoona. He has made 57 saves and allows 1.60 goals per game.

The game is scheduled to begin at 3:15 on Saturday. The pregame celebration will begin shortly after the completion of the women's game at 1:00 p.m.
