Panthers in 6th after 1 Round at AMCC Championships

Indiana, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team was on the course Monday, playing for the AMCC Championship at Indiana Country Club. The Panthers shot 345 as a team and are in 6th place after 18 holes.

With one round left to play the Panthers are 15 strokes behind Penn State-Behrend and Mount Aloysius who are tied for 3rd and 6 strokes back of Hilbert in 5th. Penn State-Altoona leads the tournament after posting a score of 300. 

Individually, two Panthers are currently tied for 10th as Brody Kamuda and Connor Smith both shot an 81 on the day. Kamuda had an even day, posting a 41 on the front 9 and then a 40 on the back. Smith shot a 43 on the first nine and then shot 3-over 28 on the back. 

Ben Tubbs shot an 88 to put him in a tie for 28th, while Curtis Barner rounded out the scoring rounds with a 95, placing him in 37th. Max Bizzak finished at 100 and is tied for 39th.

The Panthers will be in the second group of tee times for the final round tomorrow, playing with golfers from Penn State-Behrend and Hilbert.The first tee time will begin at 10:50 a.m.
